CARMEN FLORES
AFTERMATH
This series of drawings explore the proliferation of violence in our culture and the memories of the people left behind after a callous crime. My imagery is drawn from public government information websites and press accounts of violence . Common elements in these works include juxtaposed outlined silhouettes that built up busy narratives. The residual quality of graphite and the remains of erased layers allude to the remembrance of victims.
